2013 is quickly becoming the year of social media marketing, with many marketers and leading organisations alike starting to sit up and take real notice in the value of going ‘social’ as a marketing tool moving forward, with spending on social media marketing having doubled in the last 12 months.

Social networking platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn all continue to show staggering growth, with no signs of slowing down in the near future, and with millions of users worldwide visiting these sites on an daily basis, on regular intervals, businesses are starting to see the true benefits of having a strong and structured social media presence as a way of showcasing their products and services to their targeted audiences. This progression has seen with it a growing level of sophistication in how people employ a variety of devices to interact with these channels in their everyday lives.

June 2013 saw the birth of an exciting new Social Media presence as our specialist team here at Creativeworld created a bespoke social media marketing package for our clients F. Ball and Co. Ltd., the UK’s leading manufacturer of flooring adhesives and flooring preparation products.

The world of contract flooring, as an industry, isn’t necessary one you would associate with having a strong social media audience but with our vast experience in social media management our digital research team were able to analyse and monitor the industry’s activity online and in turn demonstrating to F. Ball the benefit of embracing social media marketing.

This is a perfect time for all businesses to take stock of their own marketing strategy and to seriously look to incorporating a social media strategy into it; the benefits are there for all to see, providing it is done in a strategic and professional way.

Creativeworld’s Sales and Marketing Manager, David Bates, commented on the recent launch. This is a perfect time for all businesses to take stock of their own marketing strategy and to seriously look to incorporating a social media strategy into it; the benefits are there for all to see, providing it is done in a strategic and professional way. The F. Ball brand is huge within their industry with a loyal client base, using social media as a way of communicating with these clients as well as attracting new business works perfectly and allows them to offer real time support when called upon.

We started off the project by creating, designing and populating both a new Facebook business page and a variety of new Twitter accounts representing different areas of the business, these consisted of a main F. Ball UK account (@FBallUK) a technical support account (@FBallTech) and a main account for their Netherlands operation (@FBallNL).

In line with the innovative new channel launches the team also designed and built a bespoke Information Portal website. The new ‘infohub’ was design in such a way that it acts as the central focus of all F. Balls press releases, news updates, product launches, industry advice and promotions, the updates are then pushed through to the chosen social media platforms, when needed, ensuring each post is sent out correctly and relevantly to the appropriate platform.

The team also designed a bespoke e-blast campaign to promote the launch which was sent out to F. Ball loyalty scheme subscribers and via a selection of trade publications.

As part of their new social media strategy we also offer continued support managing and populating all F. Ball social media channels daily, ensuring each platform is up-to-date with content and ensuring all live conversations are monitored and moderated in line with the traditional F. Ball ethos.
